
Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA)
As required by Regulation 14, Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR’17), employers are required to consult with an RPA where advice is necessary for compliance with the Regulations. This should include:
- the radiation risk assessment required by regulation 8;
- the designation of controlled and supervised areas as required by regulation 17,
- the handling of the various investigations required by the Regulations;
- the drawing up of contingency plans required by regulation 13;
- the dose assessment and recording required by regulation 22.

Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA)
A RWA will help you comply with the requirements of Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 (EPR16) in England & Wales, and the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (EASR’18) in Scotland, and ensure compliance with issued permits from the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and/or Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA)
A DGSA will help your firm comply with Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations 2009 (CDG’09)/ The Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), for the transport of Dangerous Goods within the UK and overseas.
