Radiation Awareness for Staff
Intended to be a basic awareness course for staff who work with Ionising Radiation. This course covers a basic awarness of:

Intended for those that will be appointed as an RPS as per the requirements of Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 associated HSE ACoP guidance. This course covers:

RPS Refresher (RPSR)
Intended to provide refresher training for an existing RPS.
Will build on an individual’s current experience of working with ionising radiation and demonstrate the practical application of current legislation and guidance. This course covers:
- the requirements of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017.
- Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016.
- carrying out risk assessments related to their work with ionising radiation.
- explain what should be in local rules and contingency plans.

Transport of Radioactive materials – consigning Class 7 packages.
This course will provide individuals already involved with consignment of Dangerous Goods by Road and Sea with the necessary knowledge to allow them to prepare and consign a variety of radioactive materials.
The course will look at consigning Type A packages, Excepted packages (e.g. UN2910 + UN2911) and Surface Contaminated Objects (UN2913).
NB: You will need a copy of ADR and/or the IMDG code with you during this course.
